Hi everyone - I'm wondering if anyone out there can tell me how to decode the serial number on the back of my 1977 strat pickups? it appears to read 123376 - I'm guessing 76 is the year they were made (because the pots date to the second week in September 1976) but can anyone shed any light on 1233? 3rd cast on the 3rd Dec perhaps?
grateful for any advice - I'm selling the pups and people are asking about the serials. thanks. M

I've actually figured out the answer to my own question. the First 2 digits (in my case 12) are the week, the next 2 (in my case 33) is the winder number and the last 2 (in my case 76) - is the year.
if threads get closed here - mods you can shut this one down
